Habit Loop

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Habit Loop (“the App”) is a simple offline habit tracker developed by Alan Agassi / Why Me (“we”, “us”, or “the Developer”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on Android.

Habit Loop is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not operate a Habit Loop user account system, and we do not run a Habit Loop backend that stores your habits in the cloud.

2. Information stored on your device

The App may store the following information locally on your device:

This information is saved in encrypted on-device storage. An encryption key is kept in your device’s secure storage (Android Keystore) and is not uploaded to us.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect, receive, or sell:

Because habit data stays on your device, uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data will typically delete that information from the device.

4. Internet use and third parties

Habit Loop does not require you to create an online account and does not sync your habits to our servers.

The App may use the Google Fonts service to load fonts used in the interface. When that happens, your device may contact Google’s servers (for example to download a font file). That request is handled by Google under Google’s own policies. Habit content and your display name are not sent to Google Fonts as part of that process.

Google Play may also process standard app distribution, update, and crash/diagnostics information according to Google’s policies when you install or use apps from the Play Store.

5. Children’s privacy

Habit Loop is a general-audience productivity app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not operate a cloud account for the App, we do not solicit children’s personal data online through Habit Loop.

6. Data security

Local habit and account preference data is encrypted on the device. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of on-device data (for example if the device itself is compromised).

7. Your choices

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
